A day at Dr. Radhakrishnan International School
Hello everybody, this is Jensen for nearly the last time. Today we had another activity filled day. We started out by leaving the Modern School to go to Dr. Radhakrishnan International School.
When we first arrived, we were seated at a table with a variety of students from different countries and asked to collaboratively answer a question.
After each group went presented their conclusions on questions, the students of Dr. Radhakrishnan International School performed a play honoring the life of Gandhi and Indian dances.
Following the performances, we invited to explore the many different activities the school had displayed across their lawn. There was Indian “candy floss” to eat, along with henna drawing and kites to make. They also had a palm reader, and everyone had lots of fun dancing.
The most exciting things were the elephant and camel rides, and Deven and I rode both of them.
We then ate traditional Indian foods, and then headed back to the Modern School.
When we got back to the school, we then watched a play called “God”, which was very fascinating, especially with all the Indian references they added to it.
After this play, we went and practiced our cultural performances for tomorrow, and then went back to our host families. I can’t wait for tomorrow, and am really excited to see all the cultural performances. I can’t believe there’s only 1 day left of the summit!
